Surgut Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate celebrates its 50th anniversary

Surgut Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (Surgut OTPD) of Transneft Siberia celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding. In 1968, this branch was established on the basis of the Directorate for Construction of Oil Pipelines in Western and North-Western Siberia to provide maintenance to the Ust-Balyk – Omsk oil trunk pipeline.

Construction of new power supply system starts at Salym-2 PS (oil pumping station)

Transneft Siberia has launched the construction of a new power supply system at Salym-2 oil pumping station (PS) affiliated with Nefteyugansk Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD). The work is being performed within the scope of the Company’s technical upgrading and overhaul programme to improve the reliability index of the power facilities. The existing power supply system, which has been in use since 1975, has aged and become obsolete. It doesn’t meet the requirements of Transneft’s regulatory documents and standard design solutions anymore.

Transneft Siberia joined efforts with the Industrial University of Tyumen (IUT) and held a research session to find solutions to a range of problems present in the oil transportation Company’s business lines. This is a new format of cooperation between an enterprise and a relevant higher education institution that envisions considering production tasks and generating solutions in “brainstorm” mode.

Transneft Siberia completes hydraulic tests of the Kholmogory – Klin oil trunk pipeline underwater crossing section after its replacement

Surgut Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate of Transneft Siberia is carrying out the scheduled replacement of the Kholmogory – Klin oil trunk pipeline (OTP) underwater crossing with the Bolshoye Sontorovo anabranch (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra). The works were launched in January 2018, and by now hydraulic testing of the section has been completed.
