Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipelines Directorate of Transneft Siberia implements a set of works on technical upgrading of the automated process control system at Chepursky-1 oil pump station (OPS).
The purpose of the works is bringing the automation system of the OPS into compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents and standard design solutions of Transneft. At the present time a microprocessor system of automation operated from 1994 is functioning at the OPS.
During the technical upgrading a set of construction and assembly and commissioning works will be conducted. They include laying more than 90 km of cable, assembling 44 cabinets and instrument racks, installing and debugging 450 sensors, transformers and annunciators. As the result, a modern Russian-manufactured microprocessor system of automation will be functioning at Chepursky-1 OPS.
At the present time construction of overhead cable trays is fully completed, works on cabinets assembling, chutes and cables laying are conducted at the station. 25 specialists and 4 equipment units are involved in the works.
The new automated process control system of Chepursky-1 OPS will secure high level of control for the parameters of the main and accessory mechanical and technological, energy equipment of the OPS. As well, strict control for the condition of stop valves and oil pressure control system will be secured.
According to the development programme of Transneft Siberia, commissioning of the microprocessor automated process control system of Chepursky-1 OPS is planned for November 2017. The new automation system will allow increasing reliability of operation of Ust-Balyk - Kurgan - Ufa - Almetievsk oil trunk pipeline at the technological section Torgili - Yurgamysh.
