Viktor Bronnikov, Director General of Transneft Siberia, and Vadim Shumkov, Deputy Governor of Tyumen Region, signed a Collaboration Agreement between Transneft and the government of Tyumen Region.
The document was signed during the Tymen Oil ad Gas Forum.
The agreement provides for creating favourable conditions for effective use of the industrial complexes of Transneft system by means of improving investment climate, stimulating scientific, technical and innovative activities in Tyumen Region, implementing common projects.
Together with the framework agreement, the parties signed the Road Map up to 2020 specifying detailed list of activities on extension of collaboration.
Particularly, the parties agreed on collaboration as regards implementation of investment projects. The signed documents pay special attention to the issues of using scientific and human resources of Tyumen Region in Transneft’s projects, involving production capacities of Tyumen industrial enterprises for technical upgrading, revamping and repairs at oil transportation facilities.
The signed documents provide for extension of collaboration between Transneft and Tyumen Industrial University as regards training of engineers and further professional education for oil pipeline transportation workers, using scientific potential of the higher educational institution for development and implementation of innovation projects, development of import substitution technologies based on research and development works.
Much attention is paid to the issues of securing safe operation of oil trunk pipelines’ facilities and development of activities oriented to improvement of environmental conditions in the region.
The approved Agreement is the next step in implementation of the investment contract between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Government of Tyumen Region and Transneft Siberia, signed in June 2017 during Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.
