Transneft Siberia carried out technical upgrading of three boiler rooms by introducing energy-saving equipment as part of the energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement programme in 2017.
For instance, a 4MW heat station manufactured by Velikie Luki-based Transneftemash plant, with two energy-saving gas-tube boilers, subsituted for a fixed boiler room equipped with five obsolete boilers in the Chepursky linear operation dispatcher station (LODS) of the Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline (OTP) Department. During the upgrading, the boiler room was converted for gaseous fuel, and stepwise oil burner units were replaced with modular oil-and-gas fired ones, which increased the boilers’ performance factor by 14%.

The new equipment enabled to improve the boiler’s performance factor by 12%.
Six plate heat exchangers were installed in the boiler room of Torgili LODS, Tyumen OTP. The mast stack comprising modular heat-insulated stainless steel stacks substituted for the metallic stack without heat insulation at the same facility, which pushed up the boiler’s performance factor to 3.6%. 4.1 km heat lines were also replaced at Torgili LODS, by laying down the water pipelines and fire water pipelines jointly with the heating line pipelines in foamed polyurethane insulation. This enabled to save fuel consumption in the boiler room, due to the reduction in thermal energy losses and improved heating of the utilities networks of the station.
The boiler room technical upgrading at Transneft Siberia production facilities enabled to improve reliability and energy efficiency of the heating equipment and save the boiler and furnace fuel costs.
