As part of the development programme, Transneft Siberia JSC carries out the works on commissioning of pump units with enhanced quality and energy efficiency performance characteristics. Thus, since the beginning of this year the Company has put into operation nine pump units at its industrial facilities. Overall the plan calls for replacement of 12 pumps with upgrade analogues in 2017.

Works have been executed to implement four pump units at the oil pump station (OPS) Yuzhny Balyk-2, two pump units – at OPS Salym-3 and one pump unit – at OPS Salym-4 of Nefteyugansk Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (OPD). Also two pump units were replaced at OPS Mugen-4 of Tobolsk OPD and one pump unit – at OPS Konda-1 of Uray OPD. At the present time two pump units are being replaced: one at OPS Salym-4 of Nefteyugansk OPD and one – at OPS Konda-1 of Uray OPD.

The new equipment is manufactured by Transneft Oil Pumps JSC (Chelyabinsk). The benefit of the homemade pump equipment is that a complete pump equipment production cycle is organized in the territory of Russia. The equipment is notable for enhanced KPI, reliability and service life, which in the future will result in longer inter-repair intervals and lower operating costs.

Using new pump units will allow for uninterrupted oil transportation over the system of oil trunk pipelines owned by Transneft Siberia JSC.
