Transneft Siberia has begun constructing a gas boiler house at Yuzhny Balyk line operation dispatcher station (LODS) affiliated with Nefteyugansk Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (OTPD). The project is being implemented under the energy efficiency and energy saving programme.
The project includes three stages. Stage one envisages construction of the boiler house with fuel tanks, heating networks, overhead cable trays and combined trays for cables and pipelines as well as transfer of a diesel power plant. Stage two will include automation of heated facilties’ heating units; at stage three, gas supply to the boiler house will be arranged, 5 km of gas pipeline and a gas conditioning unit with connection to an associated petroleum gas pipeline will be constructed.
The new 16 MW boiler house is designed to supply heat to production facilities of Yuzhny Balyk LODS and the neighbouring settlement of Sentyabrsky (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra). The block-modular boiler house manufactured in Russia will be fully automated and comprised of 4 boilers of 4 MW each, a boiler water conditioning system and a fuel supply system. All works are scheduled to end in July 2019.
Conversion of Yuzhny Balyk LODS’s boiler house to associated petroleum gas in 2019 will enhance the facility’s energy and environmental safety. Conversion of boiler houses to gaseous fuels offers a series of operational advantages, including boilers’ capability to work within a wide range of varying pressures, reduced electricity consumption and extended time between overhauls. Besides, it reduces boiler houses’ expenditure on fuel.
Construction of a new boiler house also has started at Nizhnevartovskaya LODS affiliated with Nizhnevartovsk OTPD. The block-modular gas boiler house with the total capacity of 12 MW is designed to supply heat to the LODS’s production facilities. The boiler house is expected to be put into operation in August 2018.
Under the energy saving programme, the Company annually replaces heating boilers, burners and heating networks. At Torgili LODS, part of Tyumen OTPD, personnel will replace two vertical tube steam boilers with shielded combustion chambers and a boiler bank for steel fire-tube 3-pass low-temperature boilers with the total capacity of 10 MW. The replacement of 3 double-drum natural circulation vertical tube boilers with the total capacity of 8.7 MW with steel fire-tube 3-pass low-temperature boilers with the total capacity of 10 MW is currently underway at Mugen LODS affiliated with Tobolsk OTPD. Modulable gas and fuel oil burners are being installed at Salym, Purpe and Torgili LODSs for energy saving.
In 2017, implementation of boiler plants energy efficiency enhancing measures enabled Transneft Siberia to save more than RUB 7.1 million.
