Date of publication: 18 January 2019

Transneft Siberia has begun accepting oil from Arctic Gas Company (JSC ARCTICGAS) to the tank farm of Yamal oil pumping station No. 2 of the Zapolyarye-Purpe oil trunk pipeline.

Oil is received at the custody transfer point (CTP) of ARKTIKGAZ, which is involved in oil extraction at Yaro-Yakhinskoye oil and gas condensate field in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area (YaNAA). Oil is transported southeast along the Zapolyarye – Purpe OTP and further to Transneft Siberia’s oil trunk pipeline system. Oil presented for delivery complies with GOST R 51858-2002 and the quality indicators specified in the technical conditions for connection of oil production facilities to Transneft’s oil trunk pipelines. The oil is low-sulfur, very light, with a pour point of minus 3°C.

The custody transfer point, located in Purovsky District of YaNAA, is equipped with a system of oil and petroleum products’ lease automatic custody transfer unit (LACT). The rated range of oil consumption through the LACT is from 28 t/h to 166 t/h. The volume of oil delivered, according to specifications, is up to 1.4 million tonnes per year.
