Transneft Siberia has organised a number of technical tours of operating facilities for students of all years of Tyumen Industrial University (TIU).
First-year students traditionally meet with Transneft Siberia’s chief specialists, who tell them about the Company’s main areas of operation. Second-year students attend the Tyumen Oil Pipeline Professional College, founded by Transneft Siberia, where training in working professions is provided, as well as retraining and refresher courses for engineers and personnel. In the third year of studying, future specialists of the oil pipeline industry visit a real operational facility: Torgili line operation dispatcher station of Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate.
Fourth-year students get familiar with the main business areas of Tyumen Machinery and Repair Plant: inspect the foundry, the machining shop, machine tools with computerised numerical control and test rooms for repaired equipment.
All excursionists were sent to the university by Transneft Siberia. Technical tours are an important component of the Company’s work with future employees. Such events make it possible to consistently acquaint them with the future employer’s activities and corporate culture so that in the future it will be easier for young specialists to be adapted to work.
