An employee of Transneft Siberia, together with his family, has taken third place in the first ever Festival of the Ready for Labour and Defense (RLD) Physical Training Standards for family teams.
The competitions were held in Sochi at the premises of Yug Sport with the participation of qualified sports judges and organisational and methodological assistance of the regional operator of the RLD standards in Krasnodar Territory.
Vyacheslav Smyshlyaev, the prize-winner, works at Transneft Siberia as a line pipeliner of an emergency line maintenance division at Ostrov line operation dispatcher station of Nefteyugansk Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate. The Smyshlyaev family received the right to represent Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District — Yugra in the nationwide RLD competition after having won at the regional level.
Representatives from 37 regions of Russia who had successfully passed preliminaries participated in the nationwide competition. Each family team consisted of four people: one child, 9–10 years old (stage II of the RLD standards), his parents, 30–49 years old (stages VII and VIII of the RLD standards), and one senior family member – a grandmother or a grandfather, 50–69 years old (stages IX and X of the RLD standards).
