Transneft Siberia Completes Siphon Laying at Underwater Crossing of Krasnoleninskaya – Shaim – Konda Oil Pipeline

Uray Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate of Transneft Siberia has completed siphon laying at the underwater crossing of the Krasnoleninskaya – Shaim – Konda oil trunk pipeline (OTP) over the Mulymya River (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra).

The works are carried out within the replacement of the main leg at the 212 km of the oil pipeline. The technical upgrading of the OTP is conducted in accordance with the Company’s development programme.

Work on replacement of the Krasnoleninskaya – Shaim – Konda OTP’s section started in January 2019. The total length of the pipeline section to be replaced is 1.6 km. At the moment, the new section of the pipeline has been welded into a string and joints have been sealed, the section has been tested, in-line inspection has been carried out, the siphon has been laid into the trench and the trench has been backfilled. A route power line is being constructed, and stop valve units are being improved. The commissioning of the new section of the OTP is planned for August 2019.

The technical upgrading of the section of the main leg of the Krasnoleninskaya – Shaim – Konda oil trunk pipeline is conducted in order to ensure emergency-free operation and environmental safety of Transneft Siberia’s system of oil trunk pipelines.
