Transneft Siberia Completes Competitions among Combat Crews of Transneft’s Volunteer Fire Brigades

The 17th competitions to claim the title of the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew among Transneft Subsidiaries have ended at Transneft Siberia.

The competitions were held at the Geolog stadium in Tyumen from 31 July to 1 August 2019. They brought together 16 teams, with a total of 96 participants. The opening ceremony was attended by Andrey Artyukhov, First Deputy Chairman of the Tyumen Regional Duma; Yevgeny Zabolotny, Chairman of the Tyumen City Duma; Andrey Zaitsev, Director of the Occupational, Industrial, Fire, and Environmental Safety Department at Transneft, and Viktor Bronnikov, Director General of Transneft Siberia.

The goal was to assess the professional skills of volunteer fire brigades (VFBs), as well as enhance the knowledge and practical skills in the field of fire safety.

The brigades competed in four disciplines: a 100-metre obstacle course, a fire-fighting relay 4х100 m, deployment from a fire engine, theory. The results were assessed by a contest committee comprised of professionals Transneft and the EMERCOM of Russia who took into account the observance of instructions and rules, as well as the time required to complete the tasks.

The team of Transneft Siberia was recognised winner in the contest of VFB combat crews to claim the title of the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew of Transneft. The brigade from Transneft Western Siberia took 2nd place. 3rd place went to the team of Transneft Baltic. The awards ceremony took place at the Tyumen Drama Theatre.

Giving prizes to the winners, Sergey Morozov, main referee of the competitions and head of the Fire Safety Section at Transneft, noted: “Transneft employs 5,000 persons who have joined the volunteer fire brigades. Your work ensures safe pumping of oil and petroleum products. We thank you for your work. You’ve shown excellent results.”

The competitions brought new records in the following disciplines: in the 100-metre obstacle course, Aleksandr Svityuk of Transneft Siberia showed the result of 25.76 seconds, Transneft Siberia’s team gave the best results in the 4х100 m fire-fighting relay – 109.95 seconds and in combat deployment from a fire engine – 45.68 seconds.

The competition results proved Transneft’s volunteer fire brigades prepared to perform the tasks of maintaining fire safety at the Company’s facilities.

2nd place — Transneft Western Siberia;

3rd place — Transneft Baltic.

2nd place — Transneft Western Siberia;

3rd place — Transneft Volga Region.

 

  1. Combat deployment from a fire vehicle:

1st place — Transneft Siberia;

2nd place — Transneft Western Siberia;

3rd place — Transneft Urals.

 

  1. Theory:

1st place — Transneft Kama Region;

2nd place — Transneft Siberia;

3rd — Transneft North.

 

  1. Overcoming a 100-metre obstacle course — personal standings:

1st place – Aleksandr Svityuk, Transneft Siberia;

2nd place – Yegor Golovkov, Transneft Kozmino Port;

3rd place — Nikita Shcherbina, Transneft Western Siberia.
