Transneft Siberia has completed a set of scheduled repairs at oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) and their onsite facilities.
During a scheduled shutdown at the 148th km of the Ust-Balyk – Kurgan – Ufa – Almetievsk OTP, a temporary tee and a valve that had been installed during an eralier replacement of a pipeline section were dismantled.
The replaced section was connected at the 274th km of the Nizhnevartovsk – Ust-Balyk OTP.
The scheduled works were also carried out at the site facilities. The Urai Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (OTPD) replaced five check valves with new maintenance-free models, cut defects out of process pipelines of the Sosva-1 oil pumping station (OPS) and disconnected a mainline pump at the Krutoye OPS.
The Nizhnevartovsk OTPD replaced three tees at the Nizhnevartovskaya-3 OPS, and also disconnected a vertical steel tank with a volume of 20 thousand cubic metres at the Samotlor line operation dispatcher station (LODS) and a similar tank at the Uryevskaya-4 PS. Three valves were replaced at the Pur-Pe-1 OPS of the Noyabrsk OTPD.
The works were carried out as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading programme by line maintenance teams of the oil pumping stations and central maintenance divisions of the Company. The goal was to increase operational reliability and enhance environmental safety of Transneft Siberia’s facilities.
Oil pumping was resumed as scheduled, the oil pipelines and oil pumping stations are currently operating under the normal protocol.
