Transneft Siberia Completes Installation of Metal Structures of 2 Tanks at Tyumen PPPS

As part of the works to construct two tanks at the Tyumen petroleum products pumping station of the Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate, Transneft Siberia has arranged the foundation and installed the metal structures at the site. The construction of the new tanks is carried out in accordance with the capital investments programme of the company.

Tank No.1 with a volume of 5000 m3 is intended for storage of crude oil, tank No. 2 of the same volume — for storage of petroleum products. The foundation was arranged and the metal structures were installed. When temperature rises above zero, it is planned to conduct hydraulic and leakage testing of the tanks, apply anti-corrosion protection and install a floating roof at the oil tank. Fire-extinguishing pipelines, process pipelines and overhead cable trays are being installed.

The commissioning of tanks No. 1,2 of the Tyumen PPPS is planned for September 2020.

At present, Transneft Siberia is carrying out technical upgrading of tanks at the Yuzhny Balyk and Karkateyevy LODSs of the Nefteyugansk OTPD, the Torgili LODS of the Tyumen OTPD and the Samotlor LODS of the Nizhnevartovsk OTPD.

In total, in 2020 Transneft Siberia plans to carry out construction and installation works at 25 tanks. This year, it is planned to commission 19 tanks, the rest will be commissioned in 2021.

The construction and technical upgrading of the tanks is carried out in accordance with industrial safety and industrial control requirements. The goal is to enhance operational reliability of the tank farms of Transneft Siberia.
