Transneft Siberia Replaces Four Electric Pump Units at Tyumen OTPD Facilities

Transneft Siberia has replaced four electric pump units (MPU) at line operation dispatcher stations (LODS) of the Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate.

Replacement of pump equipment, including auxiliary systems are being carried out to improve its reliability and ensure emergency-free operation under the programme of technical upgrading and revamping of the Company.

Two new electric pump units were connected at the Torgili LODS. A similar number of MPU were connected to the Bachkun LODS. The installed pumps were manufactured in Russia with increased efficiency and extended overhaul period. The units are equipped with new electric motors. All the equipment meets the regulatory requirements of Transneft.

The work on the replacement of pumping and auxiliary equipment at the LODS is ongoing. Particularly, disconnection from the system and dismantling of one more pump unit at OPS-1 and OPS-2 of the Torgili LODS was performed. Two electric pump units were also taken out of operation for subsequent replacement at the OPS-1 of the Bachkun LODS. During the technical upgrading, complete replacement of foundations of the units, receiving and discharge stubs, as well as of cables and the automated control system, will be performed.  In addition, specialists will replace auxiliary systems of pump units, including the oil system.

The scheduled replacement of pumping equipment will improve energy efficiency, industrial and environmental safety of operating facilities.
