Transneft Siberia Analyses About 13 Thousand Samples During Environmental Monitoring

Transneft Siberia has performed 12,937 studies of natural and waste water, soil, and atmospheric air using an instrumental procedure during industrial ecological and analytical monitoring.

Works in the field of environmental monitoring of the environment was carried out for three months. The goal is to monitor compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents of Transneft and federal legislation in the field of environmental safety.

Of the total number of samples, 11,630 studies were performed by the environmental analysis laboratories of Transneft Siberia, the rest were performed by third-party accredited laboratories.

4,259 samples of natural groundwater and surface water were analysed to evaluate the quality of waste water. An analysis of 4,400 samples of drinking water was also performed. Specialists analysed 303 samples of atmospheric air and 397 samples of industrial emissions.

Sampling was carried out at the operating facilities of the Urengoy, Noyabrsk, Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk, Uraisk, Tobolsk and Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorates, as well as at the Strezhevoy Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) and at the territory of auxiliary business units. Monitoring is carried out under the standard schedule during the year in accordance with the developed environmental control schedules.

According to the results of the studies, no excess of maximum permissible concentrations of controlled substances was detected.
