Transneft Siberia Completes Scheduled Repairs at Oil Pumping Stations and Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Siberia has completed scheduled repairs at oil pumping stations (PS) and oil trunk pipelines located in Tyumen and Sverdlovsk Regions, Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Areas. The goal was to ensure reliable operation of the operating facilities.

During a scheduled shutdown of oil transportation via the Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline, a defective pipe section was replaced at the 838th km, and the the 750th-767th km section was connected after replacement.

A set of works was performed at onsite facilities. In particular, two mainline pump units were connected at the Katysh PS and Sosnovka LODS (one for each facility) after replacement in the Uray OTPD’s area of responsibility. At the Karkateevy LODS of the Nefteyugansk OTPD, a defect of the pressure differential measurement line was eliminated, a gate valve not involved in the technological process was cut out, a PIG trap was connected, and midlife repairs of gate valves at the Salym LODS were performed. A tee was replaced at the process pipeline of the Demyanskoye LODS of the Tobolsk OTPD.

Hydraulic testing of the crossover lines between the main and standby legs of the Shaim – Tyumen OTP was carried out during a scheduled shutdown.

Tees of a gate valve chamber of the tank farm were replaced at the Kholmogory PS in the Noyabrsk OTPD.

The works were carried out as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading in accordance with industrial and environmental safety requirements. Specialists were equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

Oil transportation was resumed as scheduled, the oil pipelines are now functioning under the standard protocol.
