Transneft Siberia Completes Scheduled Repairs at Oil Pumping Stations and Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Siberia has completed a series of planned repairs at oil pumping stations and oil trunk pipelines located in Tyumen and Tomsk Regions, Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Areas. The goal was to ensure reliable operation of the operating facilities.

During a planned shutdown of oil transportation via the line, midlife repairs of gate valves at the Ust-Balyk – Omsk OTP were carried out, gate valves at the Urengoy – Kholmogory, Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuybyshev and Surgut – Polotsk OTP were replaced. A defective section at the line of the Krasnoleninskaya – Shaim – Konda OTP was cut out. The Nizhnevartovsk – Ust-Balyk oil pipeline section was connected after replacement.

A supply oil pipeline offshoot was replaced and temporary PIG traps were installed at the Uryevskaya PS-3 of the Nizhnevartovsk Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorate (OTPD). Midlife repairs of gate valves were carried out at the Aleksandrovo PS of the Strezhevoy RPD and at the Karkateyevy PS-1 of the Nefteyugansk OTPD.

Specialists replaced two gate valves and dismantled temporary PIG traps at the process pipelines at the Mugen PS-1 of the Tobolsk OTPD.

Re-installation of the pipelines of the leakage pumping system pumps at the Uray OTPD and replacement of the differential pressure pipelines of mud trap filters at the Katysh PS were carried out.

The works were carried out as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading in accordance with industrial safety requirements. Specialists were equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

Oil transportation was resumed as scheduled, the oil pipelines are now functioning under the standard protocol.
