Transneft Siberia Finalizes Reconstruction of Six Underwater Crossings of Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Siberia finalized the replacement of six underwater crossings in trunk pipelines as part of the scheduled revamping and commissioned them. The work was performed under the joint stock company’s development program.

The underwater sections were revamped in the linear portion of five oil trunk pipelines (OTP). For instance, two sections were replaced in Kholmogory – Klin pipeline: at the crossings with the Yarka and Minchimkina Rivers. The section under the Bolshoy Salym River was replaced in Ust Balyk – Kurgan – Ufa – Almetievsk OTP; and the section under the Katym River, in Surgut – Gorky – Polotsk OTP. A new crossing was built in the linear portion of Ust Balyk – Nizhnevartovsk OTP, under the Syroy Agan River. One more underwater crossing was replaced in the crossing area of Shaim – Tyumen OTP with the Iska River.

Transneft Siberia received the opinions on conformity of the constructed capital facilities to the technical regulations and other regulations and laws as well as the design documents. Technical and biological land reclamation was fully performed in the work sites.

Revamping of the linear portion of the oil trunk pipelines was conducted to ensure smooth oil pumping and environmental safety of the system of Transneft Siberia OTP.
