Transneft Siberia Sums Up Results of Charitable Activities in 2018

In 2018, Transneft Siberia allocated more than 44 million roubles for charitable assistance in the areas of its operation.

The main beneficiaries of the charity programme include children's educational institutions and public organisations, veterans’ and religious organisations as well as local municipalities.

Throughout the year, the Company paid special attention to supporting schools and pre-school educational institutions in the communities that are located near its operational facilities. In most cases those are schools and nursery schools located in rural areas of Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Kurgan Regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

For example, Transneft Siberia allocated 24 million roubles for physics, chemistry and mathematics classrooms to be repaired and equipped with laboratory and demonstration equipment in schools of the following settlements: Setovo, Mugen, Gilevo (Tyumen Region), Bolchary (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra), as well as in the city of Novy Urengoy, Korotchayevo District (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area). 990 thousand roubles were allocated to have the roof of the school building in the settlement of Vyngapurovsky  (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area) repaired. In addition, the Company paid for the repair of medical facilities in the Zhitnikovsky children’s home (Kurgan Region) and rehabilitation of disabled children from the Osoby Rebyonok (Special Child) Non-Governmental Organisation of Tyumen in the Khvoiny health resort. About 1 million roubles were spent on the purchase of equipment for the pulmonology department of the Nefteyugansk District Clinical Hospital (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra).

Transneft Siberia also supported the creation of a manuscript of a book about General Ivan Fedyuninsky, a Hero of the Soviet Union and a Hero of the Mongolian People's Republic. Previously, the Company had provided financial assistance for the ceremonial opening of the first monument in Russia dedicated to this commander, located in Tyumen. Traditionally, the enterprise rendered assistance for conducting the annual meeting of mothers and widows of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland.

A lot of attention is paid to restoration and construction of churches and mosques as well as development of parish and Sunday schools within Transneft Siberia’s charitable programme.

In 2019, Transneft Siberia will continue rendering charitable assistance in the Company’s areas of operation.
